Help - The Basics
Here you find the basic information about the game, how to build buildings and units and what to do first.
The following subjects are discussed in detail in this help section:
Resources
To build units or buildings you need resources. You receive those resources automatically from your resources production (Lumber camp, Stone Quarry, Taxes).
You also receive those resources when you are not logged into your account.
The amount of resources that you get depends on the size of your resource buildings. It is important to build up your warehouse to make sure that you don't lose the resources that don't fit.
On the warehouse interface you see how many resources your warehouse can hold .
The purpose of each resource :
- The
wood is used mostly for resource buildings and economy buildings .
- The
stone is used mostly for military buildings and infrastructure .
-
Gold is used for training units and paying them .
- Each race has it's own unique
exotic resource (humans - coral , orcs - iron , elves - blue fire , dwarves - sulfur) . Exotic resources are used to train the units specific to each race .
-
Food is determines what population you can hold in a city . Be careful ! If the food is low you will lose population .
First Steps
In the beginning you mostly need one thing: Resources. The
Lumber camp cuts wood, the
stone quarry collects stone and the taxes produce gold provided you have workers . The more you expand those
buildings the more they produce. In the first few days it is recommended to heavily concentrate on resource production . While you are concentrating on your resource production it is important
not to forget to defend those resources. You don't want to lose all those resources that you worked so hard for to a plunderer. One way to protect yourself is to build up your
defense ring.
The bigger the defense ring , the more resources are safe from attackers and more defense bonus you have for your army . Every level means that an attacker loses more troops and makes it unprofitable to attack
any further .
After you have secured a good base production of resources you can start building troops and trading. In the
barracks (Conclave lvl 3 needed) you can start recruiting troops .
If you prefer to trade, you should build a
marketplace. (It needs Conclave lvl 3 and Warehouse lvl 1). Then you can see what your neighbors are offering and trade away excess resources.
You can also create your own offers.
You should also look around your area to find a good alliance to join. It is always easier to fight and defend in a group. It is also a good way to meet some nice people...
Town View
The Town View give you a lot of information about your village on one page. You can see the size of your buildings , building description , building queues and troop movements. Also from here you can click on any
building and the building's interface will be opened .
Here is also a labelled village overview that shows what the different buildings look like.
Construct Buildings
To construct buildings , you have to click on an empty spot and choose the building you wan't from the list by clicking build . Bare in mind that some buildings require other buildings to be built previously .
If you wan;t to upgrade a building , go to the building's interface by clicking on the building image in the town view . Then click 'Upgrade' button .
The resource buildings have special positions that are shown in the following picture :
Recruit units
You can recruit your first units in the barracks. To construct barracks you need to upgrade your Conclave to level 3.
First you will only be able to build simple units, to recruit other units you also need to research military technologies . Also you can recruit advance units at the
Stables
In the Unit overview you find a short description about the requirements for certain units and what their properties are.
